2019 Annual Conference on Cybersecurity
The 2019 FICS Research Conference on Cybersecurity will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the University of Florida’s Reitz Union on Monday, March 11th, and Tuesday, March 12th, 2019.
The two-day event will feature speakers and participants from industry, government, and academia who will share their vision and ideas, as well as discuss issues and innovative solutions pertaining to cybersecurity on a variety of specialty areas – from network to software and hardware security. In particular, the speakers will address trust, hardware integrity validation, security assessment, IoT security, financial security, mobile security, automotive security, biometrics, cyber deception, malware detection trusted system design, and electronic and non-electronic supply chain security and management through talks, panels, posters, and open forum. FICS Research faculty and students will be available to discuss new collaborations, existing projects, and present their ideas and initiatives. In addition, students specializing in cybersecurity related research from across the state of Florida will also be available to present posters based on their research projects.

From I-75 Exit #384 (State Road 24 / Archer Road)
- Head east on Archer Road, continue for 2.6 miles towards Gale Lemerand Drive
- Turn left onto Gale Lemerand Drive, continue for 0.5 mile towards Museum Road
- Turn right on Museum Road, continue for 1 block
- Turn left into Reitz Union DriveFrom the Gainesville Regional Airport
- Head towards SR 222 (39th Avenue), continue for 4 miles
- Turn left on US 441, continue for 0.5 mile towards Museum Road
- Turn right on Museum Road, continue for 0.5 mile
- The Reitz Union is on the right, just past Center Drive
Airports: Gainesville Regional Airport, Orlando International Airport (about 2 hours driving to Gainesville), Jacksonville International Airport (about 90 minutes from Gainesville)
Parking: Parking for this event will be available in the Visitor Welcome Center and Bookstore Parking Garage, which is a pay-to-park garage adjacent to the Reitz Union. Free parking passes will be provided to the first 50 NON-UF employed* conference attendees to arrive between 7:00 – 9:00 am. *All UF employees and students are expected to use their university issued parking decals and/or utilize their typical parking arrangements. Those arriving after this window of time are urged to find an alternative method of transportation to the event, such as Uber, as parking spaces are scarce after 9 am and most other lots require a decal or permit . Also, UF PD will issue a $35 ticket to vehicles not displaying official university decals or permits.
