New Graduate Certification in Information Security 

A new Graduate Certificate in Information Security has been developed by the Computer & Information Science & Engineering  Department at the University of Florida.

The certificate assists in preparing students for the arduous and sometimes challenging demands within the information security field. This compilation of courses will create a sound foundation in computer and network security and cryptographic basics. There are also some advanced courses that will continue to build the skill sets of each student.

Students who are interested in pursuing this certification must have a bachelors degree in computer science or computer engineering or receive approval by the CISE department. The program is open to current UF graduate students and non-degree seeking students. Additionally students who have previously completed various required courses work can be accredited towards the certification requirements. Completion of the certificate will give students a further advantage in preparation for a career in information security.
