The US National Science Foundation (NSF), US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Brazil Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MCTI) are sponsoring a pair of invitation-only workshops that will promote innovation in solving cyber security and privacy problems, by bringing together the top researchers from the US and Brazil, to share their research and brainstorm solutions for open problems in several sub-disciplines within the field. It will also help researchers share experiences in education, student recruitment, career development and entrepreneurship, and get involved, together with their students, in international projects.
The workshop is led by Daniela Oliveira, Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida, and a member of Florida Institute for Cybersecurity (FICS). The Brazilian meeting will take place on in December 2015 in Brasilia, Brazil. The US meeting will take place in February 2016 in Orlando, FL.
