His research interests include Hardware Security, Malware Detection, Design and Testing of Reconfigurable Devices. Exploiting electromagnetic (EM) emissions from integrated circuits for novel solutions to supply chain security problems, contact-free counterfeit detection, hardware security.

Andrew Stern is currently pursuing his Ph.D. under Dr. Tehranipoor at the University of Florida. He got his BS degree from University of Rochester. His current project is MURI: Nanoscale hardware security with a personal focus on anti-tampering and anti-probing techniques. His hobbies include playing videogames, tennis, squash, listening to music, watching financial market trends, and eating different types of cuisine.

Avanti Bhandarkar is pursuing her Master of Science from Electrical and Computer Engineering, specializing in Signals Research department. Grant Hernandez

Research Interests
Hardware-assisted software security, systems security, USB devices, program analysis, binary exploitation, and reverse engineering.

Grant Hernandez is currently pursuing his Ph.D under the supervision of Dr. Butler. His current research interests include analyzing USB firmware with symbolic execution in order to classify devices and applying Intel SGX to two-party computation in order to improve performance, while maintaining security properties. On the side, Grant is a member of UF's Student InfoSec Team where he participates in Capture the Flag (CTF) and cyber defense competitions. Some of his assorted hobbies include administering computers, creating audio-synced computer graphics, and going to electronic music festivals.

Jiaji is currently pursuing his PhD under Dr. Yier Jin. Jiaji He received the B.S. degree in electronic science and technology from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 2013, and he received the M.S. degree in microelectronics from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 2015. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the School of Microelectronics, Tianjin University, China. He is also a visiting scholar (sponsored by China Scholar Council) in University of Florida  under the guidance of Yier Jin, from 2016 to 2018.

Joel is pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Christophe Bobda. He obtained a bachelor and master in Computer Science at the University of Yaounde 1 in Cameroon and started a Ph.D. in Computing Engineering at the University of Arkansas before transferring in Florida. His current research includes virtualizing FPGAs within cloud infrastructures with mitigation of security threats arising from sharing FPGAs between multiple tenants. Sajid is a PhD student working under the supervision of Dr. Byron Williams and co-advised by Dr. Vincent Bindschaedler. His research interests intersect developer-centric software security, deep learning and threat modeling. He received the B.S. degree in Computer Science from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and the M.S. degree in Computer Science from Kansas State University. From 2011 to 2014, he worked as a Software Engineer in fintech industry, leading projects such as developing centralized MIS system for a large bank, architecting and implementing a core mobile payment engine for a startup fintech company named 'SureCash', which is now one of the largest mobile payment service providers for unbanked people in Bangladesh. His hobbies include traveling, reading, mentoring and swimming.
