He got his BS degree from Taibah University and MS degree from the University of South Florida. His hobbies include playing video games, watching movies, solving logical puzzles, and cooking.

Adib Nahiyan is currently pursuing his Ph.D. under Dr. Tehranipoor at the University of Florida. He got his BS degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. His current projects include DSeRC: Design Security Rule Check, and FORTIS: A Comprehensive Solution for Establishing Forward Trust in SoC Design Flow. In his spare time, he likes swimming, listening to music, watching movies and books, and sleeping.

Research Interests
Finding solutions to hardware security problems utilizing novel nanoelectronic devices and physical properties. Exploring (and protecting from) information leakage through side-channels using different frequencies of EM radiation. Applied photonics and electro-optical systems.

Andrew Stern is currently pursuing his Ph.D. under Dr. Tehranipoor at the University of Florida. He got his BS degree from University of Rochester. His current project is MURI: Nanoscale hardware security with a personal focus on anti-tampering and anti-probing techniques. His hobbies include playing videogames, tennis, squash, listening to music, watching financial market trends, and eating different types of cuisine.

Aneez Fatima is pursuing her M.S. under Dr. Woodard in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Florida, and expects to graduate in May 2017. She got her B.E. from Osmania University. Her current project is Individualized Style Markers for Large-scale Authorship Attribution. Her hobbies include photography and gardening.

His current projects include IoT Security and Secure RTL through security aware design. His likes soccer, guitar, mobile app development, graphic design. He was a professional soccer player.

Dave (Jing) Tian

Research Interests
Cyber Security, Systems Security, System infrastructure, Security and Storage.

Dave Tian is currently working with Dr. Butler at the University of Florida. His recent projects involve embedded storage, trusted computing, and USB security. He holds an ME degree and has worked in Alcatel-Lucent R&D for 4 years. He was a member of OSIRIS Lab. He enjoys Linux kernel hacking, compiler hacking, drinking beers, listening to music, watching movies and playing guitars.

Farimah Farahmandi

Hardware Security.

Farimah Farahmandi is currently pursuing Ph.D. under supervision of Prof. Mishra at the department of Computer and Information Science and Engineering, the University of Florida. She received her B.S. and M.S. from department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), University of Tehran, Iran in 2010 and 2013, respectively. Her current projects include security analysis of post-silicon validation infrastructures and IPTrust: a comprehensive framework for IP Integrity validation with a focus on formal methods. In her spare time, she likes dancing, swimming, listening to music and reading novels.

Grant Hernandez

Research Interests
Hardware-assisted software security, systems security, USB devices, program analysis, binary exploitation, and reverse engineering.

Grant Hernandez is currently pursuing his Ph.D under the supervision of Dr. Butler. His current research interests include analyzing USB firmware with symbolic execution in order to classify devices and applying Intel SGX to two-party computation in order to improve performance, while maintaining security properties. On the side, Grant is a member of
UF’s Student InfoSec Team where he participates in Capture the Flag (CTF) and cyber defense competitions. Some of his assorted hobbies include administering computers, creating audio-synced computer graphics, and going to electronic music festivals.

Hadi Abdullah is currently pursuing his Ph.D. under Dr. Traynor at the University of Florida. He got his BS degree from University of Richmond in Electrical Engineering. Jasmine Bowers is currently pursuing her Ph.D. under Dr. Traynor at the University of Florida. She received her MS degree from North Carolina A&T State University and BS degree from Fort Valley State University. Her current projects include Mo(bile) Money, Mo(bile) Problems: Analysis of Branchless Banking Applications in the Developing World, and Assessment and Evaluation of Android Application Analysis Tools, and An Analysis of Traditional vs. Emerging Financial Institutions’ Privacy Policies. She enjoys scrapbooking, budget planning, roller blading, playing basketball, and serving at her local church.

Jiaji He

Jiaji is currently pursuing his PhD under Dr. Yier Jin. Jiaji He received the B.S. degree in electronic science and technology from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 2013, and he received the M.S. degree in microelectronics from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 2015. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the School of Microelectronics, Tianjin University, China. He is also a visiting scholar (sponsored by China Scholar Council) in University of Florida  under the guidance of Yier Jin, from 2016 to 2018.

Joseph Choi is currently pursuing his Ph.D. under Dr. Butler at the University of Florida. He got his BS degree from University of Miami. His current projects include Intersection of Secure Multiparty Computation and Intel’s Software Guard Extensions (SGX), Securing Neighbor Discovery using Trusted Platform Modules(TPM), and One-Time Programs. Kalaivani Sundararajan is currently pursuing her Ph.D. under Dr. Woodard at the University of Florida. She got her MS degree from Clemson University, and BS degree from Anna University. Her current projects include Authorship attribution: finding author of a text based on their language style, and Deep Learning for Identity Science. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, cooking, painting, submitting manuscripts to Journal of Universal Rejection.

His current projects include Authentication of telephony calls, Using Generative models in a FTE-Encryption scheme, Data driven network study over the Shands network, and Data driven study on the security, use, and misuse of SMS. His hobbies include board games, working out, running, online games, reading, over-baked/half thought out arguments about nothing, anything to do with science(space elevators!), math, or history.

Xiaolong Guo is currently pursuing his PhD under Dr. Yier Jin. Xiaolong received his double Bachelor’s degrees from Beijing University of Posts and Telecoms (BUPT), and University of London (UL) in 2010, respectively. In 2013, he received his M.S. degree from BUPT. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Florida, Gainesville, FL.
