Dr. Yier Jin 2017 AsianHOST Program Chair
FICS Research Associate Professor and IoT Term Professor Yier Jin was this year’s AsianHOST program chair. Asian Hardware Oriented Security and Trust Symposium (AsianHOST) is an annual symposium which aims to facilitate the rapid growth of hardware-based security research and development. Another goal of this conference is to help build hardware security community in Asian and Pacific area. Asian Hardware Oriented Security and Trust Symposium (AsianHOST) aims to facilitate the rapid growth of hardware security research and development in Asia and South Pacific areas.
FICS Research Assistant Professor Domenic Forte was this year’s featured visionary speaker. Accepted papers in this year’s conference included efforts by FICS Research faculty Dr. Swarup Bhunia and Dr. Kevin Butler. Intel Chair E Young Endowed Chair Professor IEEE Fellow Dr. Mark Tehranipoor won the Best Paper Award at this year’s conference. Dr. Yier Jin advised “This year’s AsianHOST was fabulous we can clearly see a significant increase in attendees, it is great to witness a healthy trend being established and I am grateful to have the ability to assist in building a cybersecurity community in this part of the world which is well received and sought after.”
